Wayne Splettstoeszer
Wayne Splettstoeszer is the Director of Instrumental Music and Music Technology at Torrington High School in Torrington, Connecticut. With a forward-thinking approach to music education, Wayne has built dynamic programs that blend traditional instruction with cutting-edge music production, podcasting, and digital media.
Under his leadership, Torrington's music programs have gained recognition for their innovation, student engagement, and real-world application of technology in the arts. Wayne is also a sought-after clinician and presenter, sharing ideas on remixing, sampling, podcasting, cross-curricular collaboration, and the integration of platforms like Soundtrap, Canva, and Korg Nano Series controllers into the classroom.
Torrington High School Music Technology has been featured in multiple national publications, including The Music and Literacy Connection by Dee Hanson, Unlocking Technology to Unlock Musical Creativity by Dr. Scott Watson, and MENC: Strategies for Teaching Music Technology (NAfME).
