Video game assignment will use Garageband
1. Watch the video of game posted in the Google Classroom numerous times
2. Make a list of all the events in the video that will need a sound effect. Each physical event must have a sound effect. Example: Car going off the road, Car shifting gears, Cop Car coming into the frame, etc.
3. Collect sound effects from Garageband, Soundbible.com and/or Youtube
4. Sync your sound effects with the action in the video
5. Compose and original score using loops, keyboard, samples, etc.

CONCERT PROMOTION
You have been hired as the concert promoter for your favorite artist's concert at Torrington High School.
As the promoter your job is the create the following for your artist:
1. A 30 second audio commercial in Soundtrap.
Scripts must have the who, what, when, where, why, ticket prices, special promotions, etc. Edit music from your artist to create a musical bed for the commercial
2. Promotional video using Canva.
Use your 30 second commercial as the audio
Add pictures/videos to create a 30 second video promotion

Remixing with Stems
A remix is a new version of a piece of music that has been created by putting together the individual instrumental and vocal parts in a different way.
An audio stem
Stems in music are packaged groups of multiple tracks that have been layered together. For example, a snare drum sound is a single track while a recording of an entire drum kit is a stem. Another is a single electric guitar track while four or five guitars layered on top of one another in a stem

Select ONE track to use as your remix. Delete the rest
10 Loops (Not counting the vocal track) or more
1 minute in length or longer
Use Volume, Pan AND Sweep (yes all three)
Ways to keep your song interesting

Use the sampler to create a new loop, vocal loop, etc
Use Time Stretch on a sample from the original vocal track.

You will need headphones for this class. Earbuds or Bluetooth headphones will be fine.
