Garageband Assignment # 1  - Recording Drums
Using Magic Garageband – Select a Genre and create a song.
“Open in Garageband” the song from Magic Garageband.
Delete the drum track and record your own 24 bars in length Aaron will do 32 bars.
Slow the metronome down to record!
This will take some time. Be Patient!

Save File as: GB1(Your Initials)
Save File to: Your Terastation Folder.
Assignment Due: Friday February 24 end of class.

Create 3 separate jam studio songs in each of the following forms

Song 1 – (ABAB)

Song 2 – (AABA)

Song 3 – ABA Form

A = Page 1, B = Page 2,

Each section in each song needs to be AT LEAST 16 bars long.

Each section need to have different instruments and must be mixed different.

Save your files as: – Your Initials THS (1 2, 0r 3 depending on which file)Per2 0r 7
EX:  MM1THSPer2, MM2THSPer2, MM3THSPer2

You must save 3 files on the public share folder for this assignment.

Due: First 30 minutes of your Block Period Class.

What is Song Form? The foundation of popular music is the “verse” and “chorus”.
They are found in just about every song you listen to regarding of genre.

What makes a verse different from chorus?

How are the verse and chorus different?

Listen to Twist and Shout (The Beatles)
How are the verse and chorus different?

Pick any (3) songs you want and make a list of ways the verse and chorus are different.
