A mixtape is a compilation of music, typically from multiple sources, recorded onto a medium. With origins in the 1980s, the term normally describes a homemade compilation of music onto a cassette tape,
You are going to create a mixtape based on a theme of your choice.
Step 1 - Select a theme
Examples of themes:
Social Issues
Women Rappers
Evolution of Hip-Hop
Event(s) of topics in Music History
Evolution of your favorite genre of music
Music of a certain time period.
You have to select a theme for this assignment.
Step 2 - Select 10 songs
The 10 (or more) songs that you select must be associated with the theme you have selected.
Step 3 - Create your Mixtape by sharing a Spotify or Youtube Playlist
Create a playlist of the songs you selected from Step 2
Step 4 Write Liner Notes OR Record your Liner Notes to create a Radio Show!
You are going to write 2-3 pages of Liner Notes.
The Liner Notes must include how every song you selected is associated with your theme. EX Lyrics, Overall message of song, musicians, pubishers, etc.
You must write at least 2-3 paragraphs for each song.
Use Google Docs throughout the week to write your Liner Notes.
