Band In A Box - MIDI Accompaniment Software
1.    Entering Chords
2.    Generating a Solo
3.    Save as a Standard MIDI File
4.    Be able to bounce Standard MIDI File into Master Tracks and ACID Pro 4.0

Master Tracks MIDI Sequencing Software
1.    Record using audio. Be able to connect a keyboard, microphone, and/or guitar.
2.    Edit audio tracks - Double Click on audio and edit in the window
3.    Add effects
4.    Create volume and pan envelopes
5.    Export as an MP3, WAV and Streaming Audio File
6.    Complete Cakewalk Assignment # 1

Sound Forge 5.0

1.    Import MP3 and WAV files into Sound Forge
2.    Record using a keyboard and USB Microphone .
3.    Edit files
4.    Add Effects
5.    Create Stereo and Mono files
6.    Export as a MP3, WAV and Streaming Audio File
7.    Complete Sound Forge Assignment # 1

ACID Pro 4.0
1.    Import loops from the Music Technology Network Folder
2.    Paint loops into tracks
3.    Edit loops using the Chopper function and Sound Forge 5.0
4.    Create volume and pan envelopes
5.    Import Video Clips
6.    Render as MP3, WAV, AVI, Streaming files
7.    Complete ACID Pro Assignment # 1

Assignments

Band In A Box Assignment # 1
Take the chord progression provided and enter the chords into BIAB. Generate a solo and save as a Standard MIDI File

Master Tracks Pro Assignment # 1
Using Audio - compose a 24 bar project that contains the following:
1.    Drum Track 
2.    Keyboard Track
3.    Bass Track
4.    Guitar Track
5.    Any other track you wish
6.    Must show controller usage 7 & 10 (Volume and Pan) in all tracks

Sound Forge Assignment # 1
1.    Find 4 MP3 files and edit them into one track. Take parts from each MP3 to paste into a new file.
2.    Show fade in and fade out
3.    Show effects and EQ
4.    Use compression
5.    Export as a MP3.

ACID Pro 4.0
Compose a  2 minute project that contains the following:
1.    Minimum of 15 loops from the Music Technology Network Folder
2.    Create volume and pan envelopes on each track
3.    Use effects
4.    Render as a MP3.

No one will be allowed to move to the next Unit until all of the above has been completed.
