The
Torrington High School Music Technology Website has just received
the Golden Web Award for Education 2005-2006 School Year!!
Torrington
High School added music
technology to the curriculum eleven years ago. It has flourished
because of very supportive administrators who have recognized the
importance of music as a part of the curriculum at
Torrington High School.
Torrington High School was honored
by Roland
Corporation of
Los Angeles, California for their excellent music technology program.
Debra Barbe of Roland had this to say about Torrington High School:
"Your school is introducing students
to the way music is made in the working world. Beyond reading the
notes on the page, you give them tools to create and I sincerely
believe that you are making life long music makers. We
recognize that the work you do enable our business to endure. But
beyond that, we recognize that producing students who continue to
