Band In A Box creates automatic accompaniments from chord symbols including bass, piano, drums, guitar, and strings. The program also can record one single track melody and more. 

What is a Chord Progression?

A chord progression is made up of the several chords that might be used in a popular song and includes the order that they are played in.

Creating a song in Band In a Box

Click on the
NEW button     to get a new chordsheet.

Click in the
Title area. Name the title of the song "La Bamba"

Click on the
tempo arrow keys to increase the tempo by 5. Use the Right mouse button to change by 1.

Entering Chords in Band In A Box

Right Mouse click on the "C" in measure one. The window below will appear. 



Select Chord Settings. The Chord Options Window will appear. 



In this window you will enter the chord symbol and which beat in the measure the chord will be on. 



Once you have entered the correct chord symbol and beat click


  
Enter the following as you see in the picture below.

Click on the "32" button The window below will appear. 



Follow the instructions in the window. Click
when you are done.

Select the number of choruses you want. 

Using the Style function.

Click on the Style Button

Then in the style window select a style. Click OK

Using the Soloist feature.

Click on the soloist button.  The window below will appear. 



In the above window you can select a soloist from the window on the left. Scroll down to see more options.
