How ACID works:

ACID takes the file and loops it. How you insert a file is as follows:

Double Click on any music file - You will see the file name appear on the left side of the ACID screen.  Then click on the paint brush icon and paint the file into the track.

How to Edit in ACID

Once the file has been painted into ACID you can edit it by single clicking on the file and viewing it in the CHOPPER. The chopper will appear on the bottom of the screen. In this window you can select a smaller part of the file to create new loops. Once you have selected a part that you like -Click on Insert and that part will be inserted into the track.

Changing Volumes and Pan for any track

ACID Pro allows you to make volume and pan changes at any given point. Right mouse click on any track. Select Insert/Remove Envelope - then select volume or pan. A line will appear on that track.  Click any two points on the line then move the line to create the changes. You can have as many changes as you need.

Extracting Audio from a CD

Go to tools then select Extract Audio from CD. This will allow you to take songs from a CD and rip them into your ACID file.

 

Loops on the Network

To help you build your ACID Pro files there are many ACID Loops in our network folder. Go to the folder and select ACID Loops. Inside there are many sub folders filled with all kinds of loops. To preview a loop - right mouse click on the loop. To open it in ACID - click and drag it over to the ACID Pro screen.
